THE COLLABORATIVE TEAM

From an early age, Josh and Serena were fascinated by stories from far away lands, cultures, and the chance to someday experience them. Little did they know that it would happen over the course of nine years by the telling the stories of hundreds of amazing couples across the world.
They love documenting people, their emotions, and the energy they feel when they find something they love is what we live for.

Josh and Serena will be documenting the story and the behind-the-scenes of our workshop connections and editorials.

Editor & Founder of Wedding Sparrow, Sara Russell, is driven by the beauty of editorial wedding photography shot on film. Sara has sought to create the world’s first exclusively film photography wedding blog. Inspired by simplicity, beauty, originality and the complexity of nature, Wedding Sparrow has already won five industry awards since launching in 2013 and Sara couldn’t be more proud. Striving to lead the industry towards natural light and timeless beauty, Sara loves to travel the world meeting like-minded artisans who create beauty in the wedding world for Wedding Sparrow readers.

Sara will be speaking via Skype at The Gathering about branding, social media, getting published and networking.

Studio Mondine is a floral design studio based in foggy San Francisco, California. Amanda & Ivanka seek to balance the lushness of English garden arrangements with the precision of Japanese ikebana in their work. They look to nature and the changing of the seasons to inform our designs. It's with feverish enthusiasm that they seek out the rarest ingredients, working directly with the finest flower farmers in the nation or cultivating these special blooms ourselves in our small cutting garden.

We are so thrilled to have both Amanda and Ivanka at the Collaborative Gathering creating floral arrangements and creative installations for our two shoots (fashion & wedding).

SPONSORS

Claudia feels she is best known for her soft, natural approach, but loves every chance to play with color and texture. While beauty trends both past and present inspire her work, it is often the other creative folks she gets to collaborate with who gives her energy. She looks for the beauty in everything and everyone around her and is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that her work allows her to travel, be an artist, love on people, and make them look and feel their best.

Claudia will be on set for both days of our shoots to provide hair & makeup as part of our collaborative team experience.

The complimentary role of cake is to be beautiful, as beautiful as anything you could ever eat. Tessa is an artist who has chosen to make cakes and exploring it as she would any other medium. What are its constraints? What is its context? Sometimes a cake needs to be utterly simple. Other times it might need to be unusual and extraordinary. There is beauty both in restraint and in extravagance. As an artist, she offers a unique perspective and skill set to her clients.

We are beyond elated to have Tessa on our team to create a gorgeous (and yummy) cake for our wedding shoot that is creative and inspiring.
